Laurel Falls is the easiest waterfall hike on the Tennessee side of the park. It is 2.5 miles roundtrip, and follows a paved trail. The trail cuts through the middle of a series of cascades. Laurel Falls is 60 feet high.
Directions:
Take US441 south to the Sugarlands Visitor Center at the junction of the Little River Road and Newfound Gap Road (US441), head west on Little River Rd. and drive 3.7 miles to the parking area at Fighting Creek Gap.

Laurel Falls Tenn.

This is a great hike for all ages, and activity levels. The trail can be steep but will accommodate a stroller and plenty of places to sit and rest.
Follow the vacation guide directions to Laurel Falls. A beautiful hike up a scenic mountain. When you reach the falls there is a small set of steps, to your right is a lovely cascading fall, to your left the landscape drops several times creating more falls. Many people venture down to play in the water, agility and good water shoes recommended.
Walk straight ahead from the steps to a bench, from here walk approximately 100 steps to the second rock bald face on your right. You will see a knife shaped rock protruding from the rocks.
Three feet to the left and three feet down you will find the “Just kicking back” home made stamp planted by the Poole-Cole-Magnet Vacation of August 15, 2008. I can’t wait to see who finds our first placed box. Have fun. Please take a minute to not be observed and open far enough away to not be discovered by non letterboxers.
