Hibernating Bear  LbNA # 55299

This box has been moved from a previous location because there was not much traffic there. The bear was getting lonely so I decided to move him to the Fantasy Zoo at Mashmoquet Brook State Park in Pomfret off of Rt. 44. Here he can join the lion, giraffe, pig, zebra, and the rest of the animals.
After you enter the park, drive down and park as close to the bridge that spans the brook. Cross the bridge and follow the sign for the hiking trails. After and exhausting climb, you will come to a map of the trails. As you face the sign, turn toward your right and follow the blue/red trail. After a short walk, you will come to a T. Go left. A short ways later pass through a stone wall and stop. To your left spy a living tree that leans over the wall. On the far side of the tree, against the wall is the Hibernating Bear.
