This is our families’ first letterbox placement so any feedback would be great.
1. These 3 historic trails converged within a mile of where 3 highways now meet and many people lost their souls during the trip.
The monument is called Hart Grove Creek and is overshadowed by a pharmaceutical company that has changed names many times over the years.
The small parking spot is along a 4 lane road that has almost no traffic.
(If you want to cheat, the GPS is N 38.94899° W 94.53701°)
2. Stand with your back against the back of the monument and walk straight towards the stream.
Once you get to the stream, close your eyes and listen to it for a moment.
On the other side of the stream is a viaduct.
Go to the left along the stream to find an easy way down.
Cross the stream and go to the viaduct.
3. Stand as close as you can to the center support of the viaduct and look back towards the monument.
There are trees in the way blocking your view.
One of the trees has a ribbon on it.
Your prize is behind a pile of rocks at the base of the tree.
