Across from the AMC Lodge on Route 16 in Pinkham Notch is the Lost Pond Trail. Follow the Lost Pond Trail to the pond. At the far side of the pond, there is a large rock for sitting on. Beyond that is a rock that is shaped like a thumbs up. To the left of the thumbs up rock are three boulders. At the base of one of the boulders, you will find the box.
