This one is an easy find. Close to a few other letterboxes as well.
Driving directions: From Greenville, Me.. drive North staight up Lily Bay road enjoying the wonderful veiws of beautiful Moosehead Lake as you travel... Lily Bay State Park is 6 miles up Lily Bay road with entrance on your left. Drive to the Day Use Beach area parking lot. This is a super beach to spend some time swimming and sunbathing.
at the far end of parking lot you will see a information kiosk and "passport" box.. go ahead and stamp your Maine Passport booklet if you have one! there is a trail right here that leads to the stinkaroo outhouse.. follow up the trail till the outhouse where you bear right on trail and then take a quick 1st left onto a trail that has a large cut log laying in front of it. You will immediately see to your right a rock cellar foundation of a long ago camp.. stand in its doorway and turn around, facing back out from the doorway..take 27 (adult)paces forward directly across trail and into the woods..there you will see a gully on the forest floor. there is a large pine in front of you and at its base is our cabin. please be discreet if there are folks around and rehide well or it will be exposed come fall. and lets hope youre not downwind of the stinker the day you visit.
By the way as an interesting side adventure.. when we were attempting to hide this box at first in the actual cabin foundation wall we accidentally found a cool geocache.. so if you are into that too, its worth the trouble to find it.. no other clues will I give.
