This is our first letterbox. We have placed this one as a family at one of our favorite vacation spots. I hope you enjoy looking for this, please email any comments to stonewalltrack@gmail.com. We will only be able to check on this box every few years as we live in Virginia. Please be careful uncovering and recovering the box.

You will need water access(Boat, Jetski, etc) for this letter box.

From Lake Nokomis public boat ramp (Highway N) head to the right. Observe the no wake bouys. Also, you will notice a road overpass and a railroad trellis on your right. Upon coming even with this "bridge" turn your boat left and notice an island straight ahead. Continue forward to the island. Look for the sandy beach on the right side of the island facing you. Beach your boat on the sandy shore without the big tree roots hanging overhead. As you step onto the land you should notice a little lagoon on the left(if the water is high enough). Ss you walk up the small beach you will notice two paths. One path heads towards the right parallel to the beach. This one will continue up the hill. There is a magnificent view of the lake from the peak of this hill. The other path veers left and heads inland across the island adjacent to the lagoon. This is a much more level path. Take this path (around the lagoon, assuming water level is high enough). Shortly you will come to a flat area with the large hill on your right. A small rocky shore should be just ahead a short drop down, and you should notice that the path continues to the left. On the left side of the path you should look for a small stump with four holes in the flat surface of the stump. From this stump continue up the path another thirty-five paces. (I considered a pace as a step as I was walking. This number may vary depending on the length of your strides. Approximately 1 foot). You will go up a small hill as you walk the paces. As you near the pinnacle of the hill look for another stump on your left. The letter box is hidden here. Please, make sure to re-hide the box sufficiently when you have completed this letterbox. I hope you have enjoyed finding this letterbox as much as our family had in creating and placing it.
