Go to Point Defiance Park. Follow the signs to the Zoo/Exit. You'll pass the zoo parking lot and then the road comes around again and you'll pass it on the other side. Look for the Budgie (or B) row in the zoo parking lot. Take a space closest to the street (furthermost from the zoo). Do not park on the side of the road here.
If you enter the zoo parking lot the first time you see the Budgie, you'll need to go all the way to the other end. It's best to find the second entrance as that is right near the letterbox.
If the zoo parking lot is full, (good chance of this happening) go down the street and check for parking at the Northwest Native Plant Garden and then walk back up either using the bicycle lane or walk along the fence until you get to the general area. (Most bicyclist are coming downhill here so I'd take the fence route.)
Once you park and are near the Budgie sign, you should cross the road and start walking downhill.
About halfway 'round the bend, you'll see one tree that is not growing like the others. It looks like it wanted to be closer to the road. Check the tree.
