Go to Blakely Park in Bend, OR. It is at the intersection of Brookswood and McClellan, near the Old Mill District.
Park in the free parking lot just above the play structure. From the parking lot, walk down to the paved trail at the park. Go to your left on the trail, past the play structure and towards the big grassy area. Walk straight through the grassy field. When you get to the fence, go through the green gate. Turn right and walk about 15 paces till you get to the tall juniper tree. Look left. Peeking through the fence, you can see the triple smokestacks of the Old Mill District. Look down at the base of the juniper. The box is hidden between the base of the tree and the barbed wire fence. It is under a pile of rocks. Now you have your own smokestacks! Please cover well after you find it!
We are from Portland, but love to visit Bend year round! This is our family's very first placement of a letterbox. We hope you had fun. If you have time, go down to the Old Mill for some Ben and Jerry's ice cream.
