We've spent countless hours learning and having fun with our Audobon Society friends who run the Amokseag Fishways in Manchester, so we wanted to plant a letterbox in honor of them. The box is found in the upper parking lot, with a gorgeous view of the city & river.
Directions -
Take Exit 6 from I-293 in Manchester & make your way over to the Fishways. There's a Clarion hotel just before you come to the Fishways and a set of lights. Take a right at the lights and you're there. The parking lot for the Fishways is on your left.
Once you're parked & out of the car, find the fishy pathway/sidewalk and follow it until you reach the gateway through the fence. Don't go through the gate. Just before you reach it, turn to your left & you'll see a drainage pipe on the ground. Proceed 10 steps from the pipe and turn left. You should now see the third of several boulders/large rocks. The treasure you're looking for will be midway behind this rock, wedged between 2 rocks.
If you have time, follow the fish path all the way down to the Fishways and learn about NH's great wildlife!
