Some reliable attempts, so I am not sure this box is still in place, but don't let that stop you from enjoying this beautiful park!

Originally planted in July 2010, this box was placed in Petaluma, CA but it went missing. I carved a replacement, but didn't have time to plant it when I was there in 2011. I decided to re-plant it in the wonderful little town of Ojai, CA instead. Enjoy!

In June 2009, I stayed at a hotel in Petaluma, CA. In the morning, at breakfast, the woman who worked at the hotel told me about a strange hobby called letterboxing. She showed me her logbooks and told me all about the hobby. When I got back home, I started letterboxing, and now I'm hooked on it. Here is a letterbox I planted for the woman who told me about it. Thanks Again!

Locate Libbey Park in the center of Ojai. Enter the park at the West entrance behind the famous Ojai Post Office. Follow the cement path to the right. Walk under the archway past the tennis courts and Libbey Bowl. (ampitheatre) Cross over the bike path and take the path behind the old jail. Walk until you reach the giant sycamore held up by three poles on the left. Take 30-32 steps off the path down the hill to another giant sycamore on the right. You'll see a small sycamore stump next to it. There is a hole in the stump. (Now covered by a rock) Inside the front of it, under leaves is the camo pouch.
NOTE: The hole is VERY deep so please replace the box in the front of the hole. If you aren't able to find it, keep looking, it is most likely buried in the stump somewhere.

When you are done, please re-hide the box EXACTLY where you found it, back into the front of the space, and cover the hole with the rock. Thanks!
