BOX IS OFFICIALLY RETIRED!
There are already two other boxes in this park, so I see no need to replace this one. But please feel free to come and enjoy them and this beautiful park.

Most likely missing. It seems this one was also found by a noxer, who left it on the path because they didn't know what to do with it. This probably will not be replaced.

Your Journey begins at the Monarch Butterfly Grove Sanctuary in Pacific Grove. It is located just off of Ridge Rd. If you go between the months of October and March, you'll probably see tons of monarch butterflies sitting on the eucaliptus trees, laying their eggs. Bring gloves for this box.

After parking, walk down a small pathway to get to the grove. You'll know you are at the grove when you reach the information kiosk. Turn left onto the path lined with yellow rope. Pass the Butterfly Bench and several trees. When you get to a fallen log on the right, behind it is a large tree. At it's base, between the tree and the log under a SPOB and rocks is the box.

When you are done, please re-hide the box EXACTLY where you found it and cover it with bark and rocks. Please make sure you are not seen.

Note: This box was found by geocachers who say they saw it sitting out in the open. They put it back in a different spot. Here is the e-mail I got from them,
we are geocachers and were in the butterfly area today. while we were looking at the butterflies in the trees i looked down and over and saw your container sitting out in the total open. we have done letterbox before so we know that is not right. i tucked it under the edge of the log and covered it with some bark pieces. you may want to go and rehide it where it is meant to be...also your log is full!
best

If someone could put it back where the clues state, it would be appreciated. Thanks,
