Moose in the Mountains Letterbox
Planted by Viewfinder, with assistance from Allie-Gator, July 2, 2010
In Estes Park, follow hwy 34 bypass (W. Wonderview) to intersection with McGregor, the road to Glenhaven and Devils Gulch (this intersection is just west of the Stanley Hotel) Turn on McGregor toward Glenhaven/Devils Gulch. About 1.3 miles on this highway, watch for sign for Lumpy Ridge Trailhead, turn left and proceed to parking lot. Find Horse Trailer parking area. Off the east edge of the Horse Trailer parking area, about midway, look below rocks to lone pine tree. Standing at this tree, look back toward parking lot, about eye level at crevice in rocks, SPOR (suspicious pile of rocks) hiding letterbox.
Please replace rocks carefully to hide and protect the moose. Please contact me to let me know the status of this box. Thanks!
