Upon arriving at Laguna Seca Recreation Area: http://www.co.monterey.ca.us/parks/lagunaseca.html
- Pay your camping or day use fee at the guard gate, continue towards the direction of the campsites.
- If you have been traveling with kids for awhile, and everyone is feeling antsy, you'll be thrilled to find one of these. Stop here and let everyone expend some energy!
- After camping for a couple of days, no doubt you'll start feeling pretty grimy. You'll probably start feeling desperate for one of these.
- After cleaning up and feeling refreshed, take a look around. Notice a pathway but be sure you're not traveling by motorcycle or car!
- Be aware of a row of objects to light your path. Count four of these obects while continuing straight ahead. BLINK, BLINK, BLINK, BLINK...
- After the fourth BLINK, take 10 steps, turn left, take a couple of deep breaths and huff and puff your way uphill.
- Once you're at the top, look to the trees to your right.
- Look for a well-sized, noticable rock in between two tree roots.
- Carefully and DISCREETLY remove the rock and brush away the leaves and sticks. You have found the letterbox!
- Be sure to enter your stamp, name, city/state you live and any other relevant information.
- Replace the letterbox, taking care to cover up well with leaves and sticks before replacing the rock.
- Make sure to turn around and check out the incredible view from the top.
