Did you know that there is an Observatory out at John Bryan? I have been visiting this park since I was a little and never knew it was there until last year. I thought maybe this location would be new to others as well. The observatory is currently being used by the Miami Valley Astronomical Society. (http://mvas.org) You can visit their website for more information on when the observatory is open to the public.

On to the box:
Once you enter the park, follow the signs to get to the parking lot for the mountain bike trails and observatory. Here is a link to a map if you need help finding the parking lot.
Park Map

The correct parking lot has a gazebo to your right, which is a great place for a picnic. The road continues straight ahead but is blocked by a gate with a no parking sign. Park in this lot and make your way on foot past the gate. Follow this road until it ends in front of the gates to the observatory. Where the road ends, a path continues on into the woods and veers slightly off to the left. At the edge of the woods, take approx 10 steps to a sign on your right that indicates the "Great Scott" mountain biking trail. Turn on to the Great Scott trail and take approx. 25 steps. You will see a 4-trunked tree to your left about 5 ft off the trail. Turn and face this tree and you will notice a fallen tree slightly behind and to the right. At the end of the downed tree closest to the 4-trunked tree is where you will find the box. It is hidden beneath tree bark. Please recover well.

There is a letterbox trading card for the first to find.
