Beaver Island Head Lighthouse LbNA #54078 (ARCHIVED)

This lighthouse is on the southern tip of the island on South Side Road. It is a nice lighthouse and you can still go up into the tower where the light would be. The house itself is only opened up certain dates of the year. At the base of the lighthouse is a stairway that goes down to the beach. Proceed down to the last step. There are about 85 steps. Make sure no one is in the area then reach in under the last step into the south-west corner for the letterbox. When you return the letterbox, make sure you push it back into that corner so you can't see it from the beach or from the side.
