Sheep cave LbNA #54067

Drive north on hwy 95 out of las vegas. About 10 miles past the Kyle Cyn turn off, turn east on Corn Creek Rd. Stop at the ranger station, browse around and sign in. Take the mormon pass rd east. You'll see "gass peak" rd on the left. Don't turn! Keep going. Go thru the pass and the rd vears left. There will be a marker with the number 3 next to some ancient agave roasting pits. A bit farther up the rd is a post where there used to be a number "4". park there. Look to the west and you will see a large natural cave. It's a rough 5 mile round trip. Hike up to the cave and eneter at the left hand side. Follow the wall about 20 paces from the entrance and look down. The box that you seek will be there. If you go early enough, keep an eye out for bighorn sheep.
