Park at the "Treasure Lake/Post Oak Lake" parking area. To see your destination, go to the trailhead sigh: ENTERING CHARONS GARDEN WILDERNESS AREA. You should see a plaque that says: "Don't ever go alone." Wichita Rattle is on the rocky peak that is EXACTLY 87 degrees from this point (declination = 7 degrees E). Follow the trail north along Treasure Lake until you find a place to cross the stream... There's no trail to Rattle Peak (budget about an hour one-way). There's a relatively "flat" dome of rock just below and northwest of the peak... this is a good place to drop your pack and verify that you're at the right place: 251 degrees to the parking lot; 337 to Apple & Pear. Scramble up to the peak (please be careful... see waiver below), stand at the root of the highest tree... turn to face the parking lot... Wichita Rattle is in a crevass a few paces to your right. Contratulations!
