MISSING

03-25-2011 Snakeboy and I checked on this after a "no find" was reported. Sorry to say It is Gone.
If you have found this letterbox please contact me. sondog@peoplepc.com

I have had the letterbox prepared for two years. I was just waiting for the perfect place to plant it. Thankfully this year we found that place.
Find your way to Farragut State Park. This is a fee area. You can gain admittance by stopping at the Visitor's Center.
Then look for the area known as Eagle Boat Launch.
To start your search, you'll want to stop in the upper parking lot. There is a small hill positioned between this parking lot and the road way that comes up out of the boat launch area. You'll need to climb to the top of this mound to see the perch a dragon may use. Once atop this mound look toward the lake.
Facing the lake look to your one o'clock. You'll see a Ponderosa pine that is of great age and gnarled. This grand tree looks as though it could be used as a vantage point for a dragon or dragons. Can't you just see it -sitting there watching the water below and the towering cliffs across the way?
You'll need to reach this tree. The best way is to go down to the boat launch area. You can walk or drive. During the busy season it would be easier to park in the upper lot and walk down to the lower.
When at the lower, walk towards the docks in the launch area. When you get close you will see a beach, a sign and some large barrier rocks. Further beyond you should see the start of a trail. Walk this trail until you are below the dragon tree you saw earlier. Just behind this tree on the bank side you will find your quarry. It is at the base, hidden under some woodsy debris. Please tread lightly and carefully. Watch for muggles trailwise, but also above and below you. There are at times many.
You'll need your own ink pad or markers.I have left a few postcards in the box. If you wish, write me a note and/or a stamping then drop it in the mail. It is always a delight to receive these communiqués.
Hope you enjoy the hunt and the letterbox but mostly the area. Thanks for playing along. God bless, Sondog
