This letterbox is located in the Cockaponset State Forest in Westbrook, CT.
Difficulty: This is an easy walk with mostly flat ground.
Directions: Exit 64 off I-95, head North on Rt. 145 (Horse Hill Rd.) for 31/2 miles (slow down at the pond). At the brown “Cockaponset State Forest” sign, enter the forest on the left and proceed down road to the parking area.
Begin your journey down the trail starting between four large rocks. This trail is marked green and you will proceed a few hundred yards when you will see the start of an “orange” trail on your left. Go down the orange path about 100 yards until you come to a two-sister tree in front of an old stone wall.
Look behind the tree and wall and search for a triangle shaped rock. Look behind the rock and you should find the Fern Fairy before she looses her magic.
