Charley-Horse
This letterbox is located in the Boehm Pond Trail, west Shelton (Booth Hill/Mohegan area) and is about a 1/2 mile round trip. Limited parking opposite #98 on Farmill Street (not Mill Street) which intersects with Mohegan Road. After parking there will be a brown open space sign attached to a tree with an entrance to the white blazed trail. Enter her and go right to follow the white blazes. The trail forks quite a bit but they tend to come back together a few yards ahead. You will go up a rocky knoll and see a double blazed tree. Take a hard left and follow trail passing an old tree stand to another double blazed tree but this time bear right. You will go down an incline and come to a C type turn in the trail. At the end of this turn look for a three sister tree and Charley is hiding in its belly. Rehide well since it’s next to the trail and follow the trail to a White / Yellow fork. Go up the hill on white and you will see the road or your car.
