Love is Deep is the first letterbox my love and I have planted together. He introduced me to fishing so I have introduced him to letterboxing so of course this is a fishing themed box. Spalding Mill Pond is a great place to fish, camp, swim, hike, and explore. There is drinkable water and restrooms. This is a family friendly place so feel free to camp :)

Directions:
From Grant's Pass, Travel south about 15 miles or so on Highway 199 (Redwood Highway) and at the top of Hayes Hill, turn right onto Forest Service Road 25 (Brown sign says Onion Mountain). Follow 25 northwest for about eight miles to Forest Service Road 2524. The turn left onto 2524(a gravel road) at this junctions someone spraypainted SP on the road with a fish pointing in the direction of the road. Stay on 2524 and go approximately 5-6 miles to the campground. At another junction there is yellow spray paint on a tree that says SP with an arrow pointing in the direction you need to follow. Dont take any little side roads, just stay on the main road.

Letterbox:
When you get to the campground enjoy the beautiful view of the pond. On the far side is a nice little dock with a bench. The easiest way to reach it is to take the trail around the left side of the lake. If you are sitting in that bench look under the dock on the left side, it sits wedged near the back behind some bark. Please rehide carefully since this is a high traffic area.
