Meco Ballpark located just outside of Gloversville, is the home for our next letterbox. Follow West State Street Extension, crossing over Route 309 and County Road 122 respectively. The entrance to the Ballpark is on the left hand side (becareful or you will miss it). Enter the park and utilize the grassy "parking lot" to your right. Walking behind the left field fencing (green plywood) you will notice a small stump. Standing at the stump with you back to the fence, count out 34 steps towards the woods. You will come upon a large log, step over it and walk another 8 steps to a multi-trunked tree. At the base of the tree, under a pile of pine needles and leaves is your prize.
*For those of you wondering why I named this LB, 'Send in the Closer' here you go:
34 steps +8 steps = 42 steps - number 42 in MLB is one of the greatest closers of all-time. Go Yankees!*
