Duncan Memorial Park (aka Duncan Woods) is located in Grand Haven. A beautiful park to enjoy and explore the many trails. Don’t forget lunch, it’s a great place for a picnic. The day we placed this box we watched 7 deer walking thru the woods…an awesome sight!
From U.S. 31 in Grand Haven, take Taylor west to Sheldon. Turn north onto Sheldon Rd and the park will be on your left hand side.
From the west end of the parking lot go along the paved road.
Continue along the paved road and locate the posts that line the left side. Take the trail down between the last 2 posts.
Go down the trail past the topless tree on your left. At the point where the trail comes to a “Y” take the path at 135 degrees.
Continue along trail and find the tree on left with BB + LB, take the trail left just past this tree.
Follow past the hollowed out stump bowl on the trail and continue past the tree scarred with Moto Cross 7-7-77.
Find the large porcupine tree fallen ahead and from it’s base look due north to find the bent beech tree. Here hidden at the base on the backside this li’l critter awaits.
