Directions 1 start out going north on south main st/us-11 toward s mill st
2 turn left onto dinkel ave/va-257
3 turn left onto n main st/va-42
4 111 n main st is on the right
Bridgewater, the name, was made from the proximity to the North River and the bridge
1 walk a half block down to Cody’s cookies and more
2 there you will see a time capsule The area became known as McGill’s Ford because John and William McGill owned 350 acres on either side of the North River.
3 stroll on down to the right side of the bridge, On this bridge you could hear the horse hooves from all the way down Main Street
4 here you can sit down and relax on the swinging benches
5 after your rest walk down to the water and read about the historical facts of Bridgewater
6 turn left and walk under the bridge till you reach a gold fishpond
7 throw some bread or crackers in the pond for the fish or the ducks if there their
8 turn right and look under the cement slab

Park at BB and T on N. Main St.
1. Skip down Main Street till you see Cody’s Cookies. You can stop and eat a cookie.
2. Read the tombstone about the time capsule and walk to the gazebo.
3. Hop down to the river and read about Bridgewater’s historic time.
4. Walk under the bridge and to the pond with the goldfish
5. If there are ducks throw some bread cut for them.
6. Tippy-toe to the table beside you. Play a game of checkers with rocks from the river.
7. Move to the cement slab beside you and throw out a fishing line in the water.
8. Go off the slide towards the table, turn around, and look under.
