Alive & well as of August 2006.

Placed by A-bear

Description: Driveby.

Directions: From Carey head east along State Highway 20 until you reach Goodale’s Cutoff historical marker on the north side of the road between mile markers 218 and 219. This letterbox is about 15-20 miles west of Craters of the Moon.

Clues: In order to help the early emigrants pass through this lava area, you will need to locate where their wagon got stuck in the rocks. From the left side Goodale’s Cutoff follow the rocky/dirt path at 240 degrees for 30 paces/60 steps. At this point the dirt trail becomes a rocky area so continue 3 to 4 paces on the rocks to the small rock pile in a crevice concealing the stuck wagon.
