Your journey will begin at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. This is a beautiful desert park. You do need to go at the right time though. The best time to go is during the Wildflower season, March-early May, when it is not to hot. You will be hiking on the Narrows Earth Trail. This 1/2 mile Nature loop takes you through eroding layers of the park. It is a moderate hike, mostly flat and sandy. Be sure to pick up a trail guide which will describe to you, 7 natural features (they are marked.) Be careful of any cactus or Ocotillo plants that could prick you. Beware of any snakes, bugs, or sharp plants. Bring gloves just in case of any spines when reaching in for the box. You will also need a compass.

CLUES: Find the Narrows Earth Trail. It is located just off of Hwy 78, 4.7 miles east of Tamarisk Grove. There is a very small parking lot where you will park. Go to the Trailhead. This is where you will pick up a trail guide brochure. Start hiking and follow the trail. The designated trail is marked by lined-up rocks. Pass by 4 markers. At marker #5, with your back turned to the marker, go up the hill at 150 degrees. Walk up to the Cholla (teddy bear) cactus on your left. Locate the brown boulder at 240 degrees. Walk to it and be careful. At the back base of the boulder, covered by a SPOR is the camo box. Be careful of cactus near the boulder.

When you are done, please re-hide the box EXACTLY where you found it, and re-make the SPOR so the box is not seen at all. Be sure you are not seen by anyone when removing, or re-hiding the box.

To get back to your car, continue to follow the trail past 2 more markers, and you will get back to the tiny parking lot. Thank You, and enjoy Anza-Borrego!

**While here, I learned that Saguaro Cactus doesn't actually grow here... oops... That makes this Saguaro the only one in the whole park!**
