Sorry if theses clues are aliitle disjointed, I'm still a little shakey from the encounter and my memory is a little fuzzy as to the exact chain ot events. But anyway here's the story.
Miss moon drove down from NY to spend a day boxing with me in French Creek. The weather was a little squirrley but we decided to take a chance. We parked down by the dam, had a few clues in hand but really were just glad to be on the trail.
We headed out on the trail just at the end of the dam. Hiked awhile. found one box looked for another but gave up and had lunch. Decided we didn't want to retrace our steps so we kept going on to Ryan's trail. Heading up hill we hiked on. Miss Moon commented how she wouldn't want to be out on these trails alone, I agreed. There was something hanging in the air that made me a little jumpy.
Just then I tripped over what I thought was a large root across the trail, it was a very large snake. I picked myself up and started off down the hill after Miss Moon, who had decided maybe it would be a good idea to re-trace our steps. But when I fell over the snake I had twisted my ankle. I stopped and sat down on a large square boulder to catch my breath. As I looked back up the trail to check on the where abouts of the snake, I realized it was just a root and not a snake.
Laughing at myself I pulled out first aid kit from my pack. Behind me comming from a 3 sister tree I heard something. I'm not saying what it was, you be the judge. But there's something out there in those woods...
