This box is located outside of the East entrance to the South Rim of The Grand Canyon National Park. Approximately 40 minutes from Tusayan but well worth the drive. It is not located within the National Park or on National Park Lands.

The Watchtower is a great building and site to see. It offers amazing views of the canyon and interesting architecture. I recommend taking the time to visit.

From the Grand Canyon National Park welocme sign travel East on Hwy 64 (away from the Park entrance) approximatley 1 mile to a row of gaurdrail on the right.

From the East end of the guardrail walk 12 paces (24 steps) along the shoulder of the road turn right and look down hill over the bank. You should see a Pinyon Pine that is approx 20' tall and 14" in diameter. This tree stands out from the other by a scar from a broken limb. The box is buried at the base of this tree.
