HAPPY BIRTHDAY LETTERBOX/GEOCACHE
***TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE DUE TO MAINTENANCE***10/2015
HISTORY:
This box was placed in honor of a birthday gal who really enjoys this sport. The historic Richard Carter Homeplace is in the neighborhood.
CLUES:
This is an easy park and short walk. As always, be aware of muddy spots/snakes/bugs/fire ants that go along with our TX environment.
Get to University Drive at Earl Rudder Frwy (Hwy 6 Bypass). Take the Hwy 6 bypass feeder traveling SOUTH. (Scott & White Clinic will be on your right).
Take the 1st right into the Scott & White Clinic Entrance parking lot.
Travel into the parking lot until it “T’s” and turn Left.
Continue driving slow and after the 1st speed bump at “Dr. Rayburn Drive”, park in the 6th parking space to the right.
Look straight ahead at the woods and see a “clump” of several trees. Walk about 25 paces towards the trees and find the box hidden in the trees.
NOTES:
This is a “COMBO” Letterbox/Geocache. As a result, there may be “geocoins, travelers, etc”. If you take these, be sure and track the item according to directions on the item and redeposit it in a different geocache. DO NOT KEEP OR COLLECT THESE PLEASE!!! They are meant to "travel" from geocache to geocache. Geocache tradition is “take an item, leave an item”. This refers to NON-TRACKABLES. Please visit www.geocaching.com for information on geocaching. High traffic area, but little activity where the box is placed. Please discreetly retrieve the box and take to car for stamping/logging/etc. Carefully replace up in the tree as you found it. Any problems, please report
