This box is located at the Red Oaks Mill Park, which is adjacent to Faith Assembly of God Church. Faith Assembly of God is located at 254 Spackenkill Road in Poughkeepsie, New York. If you are able to find Faith Assembly of God (either through Mapquest, Google, America Online, or something similar), then locating this box should not be impossible for you.

Before attempting to find this box, please keep in mind the fact that this box is located in a wooded area that is filled with vegetation. For this reason, the best time of year to search for the box is during a time of year when the vegetation is dead (such as late winter/early spring) and the infected deer ticks are not likely to be spreading Lyme Disease (because the ground froze the night before).

Upon reaching Faith Assembly of God, please look for the Red Oaks Mill Park. The park will be to your left as you face the church property (and have your back to Spackenkill Road). The church property itself will have a long, winding driveway to carry your vehicle to the top of the hill in the event that you so choose to attend a church service there.

In addition to being located adjacent to Faith Assembly of God, the Red Oaks Mill Park is also located on the corner of Spackenkill Road and Alda Drive (Alda Drive is a residential roadway).

Travel to the Red Oaks Mill Park. When you arrive there, you will find that the park ultimately runs right alongside Alda Drive (it is a fairly linear, rectangular park that sits between Alda Drive and Faith Assembly of God). One end of the park is located on the corner of Spackenkill Road and Alda Drive (this end contains a pond with reeds and playground equipment), while the other end of the park is located on the corner of Alda Drive and Daria Drive (this end of the park contains both a tennis court and a fire hydrant).

In order to actually find the box, please travel to the end of the park that is located on the corner of Alda Drive and Daria Drive. As you do this, you will notice that there is a tennis court. This tennis court has a giant fence that surrounds it.

Carefully search for the fire hydrant. The fire hydrant will be located near Alda Drive. It will NOT be located alongside Daria Drive.

Stand with the fire hydrant to your left, ensuring that your eyes are facing in the direction of the tennis court. In addition, please ensure that your back is facing Alda Drive.

Carefully walk toward the corner pole of the fence (the fence surrounds the tennis court). Out of each of the four corners, this corner is the corner nearest the fire hydrant (it is on the END of the tennis court that is FURTHEST from Daria Drive, and it is also on the SIDE of the tennis court that is NEAREST to Alda Drive).

Upon reaching this corner pole, stop walking. As you do this, carefully stand so that your back is facing Alda Drive and your eyes are facing in the direction of the church property. As your back faces Alda Drive, you will notice that there is another corner pole directly across from where you are (this corner pole is adjacent to a wooded area). Walk towards it.

Upon reaching this corner pole, stop walking. As your back continues to face Alda Drive, you will notice that there is a wooded area in front of you.

Look slightly to your left. As you do this, you will notice that there is a small gap in the vegetation (this gap in the vegetation is directly across from the tennis court, and it should be only a few steps to your left). This gap in the vegetation has a section of tennis court fence that is directly across from it, and this section of tennis court fence exists between two poles (one of these poles being located at the corner of the tennis court).

Carefully stand in the gap in the vegetation, continuing to ensure that your back is facing the tennis court (and ultimately Alda Drive) at all times. As you stand in the gap, you will notice that there is a thin tree with three main roots coming out of the bottom of the trunk. This tree will be directly across from you.

Walk toward the tree. Upon arriving at the tree with three roots, stand in such a way that the tree is to your left, and your back is facing the tennis court (by now, you will be in a wooded area, so PLEASE BE CAREFUL to ensure that you do not get bitten by a deer tick and receive Lyme Disease). As you do this, you will notice a second tree that is directly across from you. This tree has a large number of rocks near its base, and the bottom of its trunk has a slightly curved shape.

Walk to this tree. When you arrive at this tree, you will see that there is a rectangular pile of rocks that sits at its base. Walk to the end of the rock pile that is furthest from the base of the tree. Carefully remove the rocks. The box is located underneath the rock pile, and it is essentially located at the end that is furthest from the tree.

In all actuality, however, the box is ultimately located underneath a large sheet of plywood. This sheet of plywood must be removed first, before the box can be reached. The box may be sitting underneath a small amount of soil, but the soil can easily be removed.

Please re-hide this box carefully, as we do not want any accidental findings of this box. Thank you very much.

Additional information:
This box contains trade items, for those who are interested in that type of thing. It also contains a hand-carved stamp, for all those who enjoy collecting stamp impressions in their personal logbooks.

The stamp is not a trade item. For the good of all those who use this box, the stamp cannot be removed from the box (if you remove the stamp from the box, then people will not be able to collect stamp impressions in their personal logbooks anymore, and that would be a shame).

This is a 50-calibre ammunition box, built to withstand horrible weather. This is one of those extremely nice boxes that people are excited about finding.
