Replaced 8/1/15.
Go to Letchworth State Park, Castile, NY.
Follow the Park Map to the Mary Jemison Statue.
Enter Trail #2 through the wooden gate at the end of the parking lot.
Hike up the rise.
At the top of the rise there is a wooden bench on your left.
There is a fork in the trail just past this bench.
Go to the left.
Continue up trail #2, and pass under the stone railroad bridge.
Continue over small rise; you will come to another fork in the trail where there is another memorial bench;
go to the left again.
Look for a yellow painted arrow (>) on a tree on your right indicating a side trail.
Head down that trail (marked #2);
it is lined with tall conifer trees;
you will be heading West South West.
Turn right when you come to the creek.
Just past a tall white birch tree, look forward & to the right: you will see a very large fallen tree (with several small ones around it) ~ 30 yards into the woods.
Look into a crevice at the root base.
You should find a plastic box.
