From time to time our travels take us through the town of Delta, Utah. Each time we've stopped there we've been impressed by the town and its people. During our last visit we decided to leave a little piece of ourselves in the town and invite others to get to know Delta.

To find the letterbox, first find a statue of two kids; one reading a book, and the other staring off into space. (The park is on the North side of Main Street, if that helps).

Move to a position where you can look the girl in the eyes. Those are some creepy eyes, aren't they? Look up to the left and you should see a bridge trying to hide behind a big rock. Walk to the rock and circle it three times clockwise. If you circle it counter-clockwise you'll never find the letterbox. After you've circled the rock, cross the bridge.

Once you get to the other side of the bridge, look forward, and maybe a little to the right (or a lot to the right, I can't remember) and you should see a big rock and another bridge hiding behind it. Climb on top of the rock and look back toward the statue of the girl with the creepy eyes. Does it still look the same? It should, unless someone did something to it. Before people start looking at the crazy person standing on the rock, jump down and cross the other bridge (not the first one, the second one).

After you've crossed the second bridge, turn to the left. You should see a grassy area between the rocks to the left and the rocks to the right. Walk forward, trying to stay directly in between the rocks. Follow the grass to the right and stop in line with the stairs heading down to the right.

Kneel on the grass right there, facing east. Close your eyes for three seconds, clearing your mind of everything you've ever thought, then open them. You should see, in front of you, standing out slightly in the patch of rocks, a big black and white rock. If you see anything else after opening your eyes don't blame us; maybe you've just been driving too long.

You really don't have to do any of that. We just wanted to see if you would. What you're really looking for is that big black rock with white splashed on it. You've probably walked right by the rock a couple times already. You may have even rested against it as you were looking for the statue. You could have just parked your car and gone right to that rock, looked beneath it (on the downhill side), found the letterbox, and been on your way. But wasn't it a lot more fun to play around in the park a little bit?
