To get to Bob Jones Nature Center:
The new Bob Jones Nature Center And Preserve is located in far north Southlake at 355 East Bob Jones Road, Southlake (Fomerly Roanoke) 76092.

We are between Grapevine and Westlake, TX. Our new nature center facility is located just 2.5 miles North of Hwy 114. Coming from either direction on Hwy 114, just take the N. White Chapel Blvd exit and proceed North on N. White Chapel.

Just continue North on White Chapel road until you come to a stop sign (where Dove Rd. crosses White Chapel). Then proceed straight ahead and you will soon past South Field Drive, Pavilion Dr, and North Field Dr at Bob Jones Park. Then continue a short distance on past the Equestrian Parking area and then turn Right (East) onto East Bob Jones Road.

Proceed one half mile to where East Bob Jones Road connects with Walnut Lane. At this point, on your right is a metal fence with a large gate. This is the driveway for the Bob Jones Nature Center And Preserve. You will also see our large Bob Jones Nature Center Banner at the gate entrance.

Hours of Operation

The Bob Jones Nature Center building is open Tuesday through Saturday 9:00am - 5:00pm. The preserve and trails are open daily 7:00am - 8:00pm during Daylight Savings Time and 9:00 am - 5:00 pm the rest of the year. Office: 817-491-6333.

Now for the clues to Metamorphosis!
As you arrive at the Nature Center, look around! Park in the parking lot. Go inside the building to see some neat little creatures and displays. There is also a gift shop to pick up some goodies to remember your trip! Now go out the back door of the nature center and take the concrete path to your right. Continue walking until you find the big red barn. As you walk toward the barn, you will notice a butterfly garden on the right side of the barn. Take a walk around the garden and enjoy the different species of butterflies. If you are standing in front of and facing the butterfly garden, you will notice a fence with a silver gate to your right. Open the gate, walk through, and close the gate. You are going to go 21 steps to the left down this equestrian trail. You will then see a small trail to your right. You are going to take this trail for 46 steps. On your right, you will see a big bolder with some smaller rocks leaning against it. You will find Amazing Metamorphosis (a microbox) under it! Have fun!
