We hope that you enjoy visiting this little gem of a park. We called it home for many years and have left this letterbox so that we have an excuse to return.

This is a great letterbox for people with young children as it is a short hike. If you come in the summer, you can swim in Lake Washington or just have a picnic.

Pritchard Beach park is located in South Seattle off of Seward Park Ave S. From Seward Park Ave S, turn east on S. Grattan Street (the street is also labeled as S. Cloverdale at this intersection)and follow until it dead ends in the Beach's parking lot.

From the parking lot, head South on the main trail. There are lots of little side trails to explore, rocks to climb on and ecological discussions to be had. Once you have explored and are headed back to the parking lot you will return across a footbridge. After about 15 yards, you will see boulders lining the left side(west) of the trail. Our letterbox is tucked neatly between the 11th and 12th boulder.

Please return the box to it's deep, safe spot as this park gets a fair amount of traffic. It can generally be covered with a fern most of the year.

Thank you! We hope you enjoyed your adventure! The DuBois Family 12/20/09
