Update- June 19, 2011- I was informed that this box has disappeared, I will re-carve, and re-plant sometime this summer:)
Follow West River Parkway to the parking lot (NO Fee!) at 36th St/W River Pkwy.
Take one of the trails that will bring you first down, where you can learn about this River Gorge Savanna area!
Then go uphill to where you come to an open field with several mature Red Oaks.
Cross the field to the SE corner, and walk the trail South for about 67 steps where you will face a choice, the low road or the high road...
Choose the high road where you will take a few more steps, then use your eyes to look toward the beautiful Mississippi River!
As you look that direction you will see a strange oak with a gaping hole facing you.
Serpentine your way down the hill being careful not to fall down the hill (But if you do, luckily there is a fence that will stop you before you tumble down to the river!)
Reach in for the box, and please re-hide with plenty of debris!
