Historic Navajo Bridge spans Marble Canyon in a graceful silvery arch approximately 470 feet above the Colorado River connecting Grand Canyon National Park on one side with a Navajo Indian Reservation on the other. The 750 ft. long steel bridge has been judged to be the most historically significant bridge in Arizona. It replaced Lee's Ferry in 1929 as the only crossing of the Colorado River for a stretch of 600 miles and was still the only crossing between Glen Canyon Dam and Hoover Dam when it was taken out of service in 1995. It now serves as a pedestrian bridge providing excellent views of the canyon.

Directions:
From Page, go south on Hwy 89 about 25 miles, then north on Alt. 89 for about 15 miles to Navajo Bridge.

Clues:
Park on the east side of the bridge (not the side with the visitor center). Walk west to the old bridge, then turn left (south) and walk along a stone wall for about 20 steps to where a walkway starts to turn left (east). Look northeast at 70 toward a pile of rocks and find the highest one. Look at a large rock below it, resting on a rock on its right side. It is directly between the top rock and where you are standing, not to the right. Find the cavity under the big rock and walk 9 steps to it. Look for a hole covered with small stones for the microbox. Please re-cover well.
