Letterbox contains stamp only: please log on status at letterboxing.org or atlasquest.com
This letterbox is located in the Brinton Brook Audubon Sanctuary. Take Route 9 to the Senasqua Road exit, and turn left (north) on Route 9A. The entrance is on the right, a little past Arrowcrest Drive near mailbox #1339. Drive down a long entrance road to the Sanctuary.
To find the letterbox, take the Yellow Trail. There are signposts along the way; they provide interesting information on the flora and fauna of the sanctuary. Soon after the third signpost, you will see a large trail map; the trail forks here. Take the left fork (Pond Loop).
Cross a meadow, and, at signpost #6, continue to go straight. You will see the pond to your right. When the trail forks, there is a choce of three paths. Take the middle path, continuing straight, keeping the pond to your right. After you cross a dam, the path will veer away from the pond. At signpost #10, the Blue Trail will go off to the left; stay on the Yellow Trail. At signpost #13, go right to stay on the yellow trail.
When you reach signpost #14, walk another 4 paces. To your left, you will see two trees growing in front of a stone wall. The letterbox is in the wall, to the left of the trees, behind some rocks. There is no stamp pad in the box - green will work well.
To return, you can retrace your steps, or continue on the yellow trail (shorter).
