There aren't many Saguaro Cactus that grow in this part of the desert. Many within the city are used for landscaping purposes. Aliante Casino uses several around their property. On the northwest corner of their property, at the intersection of Aliante Pkwy and Elkhorn, you will see a few. The casino has several in other locations, but we thought the area needed one more.

Clue: While traveling on the 215 in the north end of the valley, take the Aliante Parkway exit and turn North. You will pass the casino and come to the intersection of Aliante Parkway and Elkhorn. Turn East on Elkhorn. Immediately on your left, you will see the Aliante Golf Club. Turn into the parking lot and park in the southern most part of the lot (nearest the street) on the far west end near the west exit. Park. You will see to the west, some tennis courts. In front of them, there's a power station sitting on a cement slab (pad). Don't worry...this only has the cable boxes and telephone boxes...nothing that will harm you unless you try to open one. Walk to this power pad. On the south end, there's a terraced wall with four levels. You will also see a power pedestal with the address "3170 W. Elkhone" printed on it. (Elkhone should be Elkhorn). What you seek is straight in line with this pedestal, hidden under the Rosemary, next to the tiered wall. There's a vining type bush growing in and over some of this Rosemary so you may have to lift and look hard. We hope it's hidden well enough that the landscape gardners won't bother it. Happy hunting and Enjoy !!!

++There are lots of "muggles" who walk their dogs in this area, not to mention golfers and traffic going by. Please be descrete and re-hide well.

UPDATE: 2-27-10...Today we did "box maintenance" and this box is well and good. Please record your finds!
