Park at the Rubio Woods parking lot at Midlothian Turnpike.
Carefully cross Midlothian Turnpike walk to the right to the
path marked "closed". Follow the broken pavement path to
the Bachelors Grove cemetary on the right and pay your respects.
Continue on the same pavement path to its end at the creek.
Go left on the dirt path, about 30 feet is a barkless double trunk
tree on the right with MK carved in it.
Turn right and go over the creek on the stone path. Continue
on the dirt path up and over a hump. At the bottom the path splits,
take the path to the right. After about 35 steps along the path you
should come to 2 V double trunk trees. The one on the right has a
fallen double trunk tree cradled between its double trunk.
Between the V of the fallen tree in the V of the standing tree is
what you seek.
There is a lot of foot traffic through there even though the path says
closed so be careful. Be careful to rebag so the elements dont
ruin the contents. I put a stamp pad in it but not sure how long it will
last. No pencil or pen though.
This is our first one and my son is seven. So we hope to put out our
carved stamps in the future. Thanks so much and have fun!
