~My sweet girl has had another birthday. She had a wonderful day letterboxing and shopping at her favorite pet store.
Follow the clues below to find what she left for you.
Just east of the intersection of routes 66 and 87 in Columbia (near the bottom of the hill), turn left on to Szegda Road. Travel to the stop sign and again go left. Follow this to a trail sign for the "Upper Trails"on the right side of the road just after an old farmhouse and before a brand new house being built. Turn right between the two wooden posts to park in the small grass/gravel parking area by the stone wall.
Please bring a black ink with you for this image.
Dogs are allowed on leash.
After parking, go through the stone wall. Look at the map board there and go off on the trail to the left.
At the first intersection go left.
At the next intersection, go right.
Follow this trail gently downhill.
When you get to a spot where the trail bears left and starts uphill, you will see a grand old Hemlock (?) tree on your right.
Go behind it on the right and look between its toes there to find Doodles birthday box.
Please naturalize this area so that others after you have a chance to find this box.
After stamping in and re-hiding, continue on the trail.
Take a right at your next intersection and then a left at the next one.
Follow the trail to eventually come back out to where you started.
