DIRECTIONS: From MacKay, Idaho, take Hwy 93 toward Challis. Between mileposts 129 and 130 look for the sign for Mt. Borah Trailhead and turn right on the next gravel road. Go up the gravel road all the way and park at the trailhead.
DIFFICULTY: Not much. Almost a drive-by, but not handicap-accessible.
CLUES: At the trailhead go up the trail and through the fence. Go right along the fence till you come to the end. Directly to your left is a tall evergreen. Take the small trail toward this tree. Look for a bleached log on the right of this trail and have a seat there. The Mt. Borah Trailhead letterbox is within the log on the left-hand side.
Best regards,
Amanda Briles
