This box was carved and planted to celebrate the Dos Winos! wedding which took place on August 30th 2009.

Head to Mendon Ponds Park.

The Winos have spent countless hours in this park running and racing on its trails and roads, cooking on its grills and sledding on its hills. Not to mention all of the great boxes there are to find.

Find and park in the beach area. Walk up the hill to the Canfield Woods shelter. Enjoy the view of Hundred Acre Pond and the breezes that roll over it. Turn to the north (your right if facing the water) and look for twelve hanging chains. Head towards the chains and on your way you'll cross over the very spot where our wedding took place. Pass the chains and head for the tree line behind.

Walk the tree line keeping the trees on your left you'll pass a tree that is very bumpy, thick and round at the bottom. Shortly after you'll come to a tree that is a little apart from the woods and that splits into many trunks just above the ground. Stand next to the tree and follow a visual line from the yellow hydrant in the field to the tree and into the woods. You'll find the box behind the second large tree in the line between two roots and under some leaves and brush.

This is our first carve and plant and we hope you enjoy finding it as much as we enjoyed making it! And as always please rehide well and watch out prying eyes as the beach area gets a fair amount of visitors from time to time.
