******MISSING******
Difficulty: easy, flat terrain, short distance
This welcome center must be one of the most attractive. It is very pretty and serene and there is lots to see. Don't forget your camera, as I have pictures of alligators that live in Lake Bienvenue. We saw one when we placed this box. Watch out for spiders, ants and maybe snakes.
Directions:
On IH-10 Eastbound, take the Louisiana Welcome Center exit. When you enter the rest area take the first right which will lead you around by Lake Bienvenue and a parking lot. Park and walk east along the path beside the lake. Cross one bridge and go to the Louisiana pelican. 14 paces back towards IH-10 you will meet up with "Quercus Virginiana" (live oak). At the base of the live oak, on the IH-10 side, under some spanish moss and twigs you will find Louisiana Welcome!
