History:
The Tennity Ice Skating Pavilion is an ice arena on the South Campus portion of Syracuse University, New York. Named for donors Marilyn and Bill Tennity, the facility opened in October 2000 for the use of Syracuse University students. The pavilion is the home of Syracuse University's ACHA Division I men's hockey team, and new (2008 inaugural season) NCAA DI women's program playing in CHA. It features two sheets of ice, one regulation size and a second smaller round studio ice surface. One of the two sheets is always available for open skating whenever the building is open for business. Currently the studio surface is orange and is open all the time for students and visitors. It happens to be one of our favorite places to go.

[You will need a writing implement, and an ink pad (prefer orange or blue)]
Clue:
Park your vehicle in the lot next to SRC and the tennis courts which is across the street from the Red Barn. Walk the paved path to the rink. As you walk notice the Dome off in the distance (go find Home Sweet Dome) and South campus housing. When you reach the building area search to the right where the cement block portion meets the blue building. In that corner under a pile of rocks you will find what you came for. While you are there take a look inside the rink and enjoy the home of the Syracuse University Women’s ice hockey team. Please be discreet, move away from the area to record your find and then log it in (to: Letterboxing.org & Altalsquest.com). Also feel free to e-mail LilynPapa to tell us what you think. Enjoy, be stealthy and return it to where it was, for others to find it.
(While you are here, search for “40-Love” too)

“40-Love”

2 ways to access this box. First is to continue around the back of the tennis courts from “Puck it” / Tennity Ice Pavilion until you see the small wooded area where the two sets of courts meet. Follow the fence toward the road where you will see a fire hydrant and a large rock. Across from the large rock in the wooded area along the fence you should see a double tree that was cut down and is now decaying. Look inside the right side and there you will find 40-Love.. It is at the very last court. Please re-hide it back in the tree stump…
The second way is to return to the road and follow it around the tennis courts until you come to the hydrant. Then follow the tree line and fence on your left until you find the double tree.
