From I-44, take exit 266 and follow signs to the Rt. 66 St. Prk. Drive over the bridge. This is historic U. S. Highway 66. Go to the second paved road going to the right (it is just before the end of Rt. 66). Park in the lot at the northwest corner of this intersection.
Walk north on the paved road. Just after the “Speed Limit 20” sign, go right through the wood gate on the wide trail. Walk to the orange and yellow fire hydrant on the right side of the the trail. From the hydrant, go at about 304 degrees for about 33 steps to a tall four trunk tree. The box is under the north side of the tree covered with sticks, twigs and plant debris. Be alert for poison ivy; it grows in that area! Also, be alert for snakes.
Please please be sure the contents are double ziplocked when you put them back in the box (i.e. the stamp is in a ziploc, the book is in a ziploc, and the two are in the larger ziploc bag), and put all of it INSIDE the box. Please rehide the box well under the sticks, twigs and plant debris so that it can not be seen from any direction.
I will not be able to check on this box; so, please let me know if you find it, or if it needs attention or is missing:
