Box 1 Big Red -- Hebron Volunteer Fire Company #2 in
Hebron, Ct. has three fire stations. Company #2 is located on Church Street/Route 85 in Amston. The original Company #2 was located next to Amston Lake. The old building originally was home to the Amston Lake Fire Company. The new facility was officially dedicated in the Fall of 2005 and is located in the Amston section of Hebron. The front parking lot is large enough to act as an air-ambulance landing pad.
The Hebron Volunteer Fire Department proudly operates in conjunction with the Colchester-based KX Dispatch Center. The department not only provides service to the citizens of Hebron, but also provides mutual aid and assistance to the surrounding towns, who in return, provide service to Hebron when needed.
Currently, the HVFD Antique Truck Committee is restoring Hebron’s first ever fire truck--a 1937 Ford Sanford fire engine.
Directions: From the center of Hebron, at the intersection of Routes 66 and 85 proceed North on Route 85 and immediately turn left into the left side of the Hebron Town Hall and offices. Immediately turn into the far left parking lot and go to the area facing the Gazebo. These boxes and their locations were approved by Town Manager, D.L.
Clues to Box 1: Facing the Gazebo you will see stone benches made from the foundation of an old building on the property. Go to the left bench and under it against the left side, hidden from view, is a box awaiting a stamp in and out. Please re hide well Thank you.

Box 2 Lights and Sirens -- Police Department
The Town of Hebron provides 24 hour a day police protection through a Resident State Trooper, part-time Hebron Police Officers and also State Troopers from Troop K in Colchester who are assigned to respond to calls in Hebron. The Dept. of Police Services provides a full range of services including emergency response, criminal and accident investigations, crime prevention and community service projects. They are located in the Hebron Public Safety Building , at 44 Main Street, along with Vol. Fire Dept. #1.
Clues to Box 2: Facing the bench of Box 1, go to the wall to the left, then to the right (3rd) tree, and to a space in the wall behind the tree, covered by a rock, to find the box.
