Play Ball!

This letterbox commemorates The American Defenders of New Hampshire, Nashua's current baseball team.

The box is hidden at Anniversary Park behind Holman Stadium, a park that is literally surrounded by parks. I recommend going during the daytime because I believe the gates are closed at night. Also, I suggest bringing red, blue and yellow markers to color the stamp (it looks better that way).

To get to it, take exit 6 off the highway and turn right off the ramp onto Broad Street if you're heading North (if you're heading South turn left). Continue onto Amherst Street (at Milano's Pizza) and take your 2nd left onto Sargent Avenue. Drive past the stadium entrance and take the 2nd right onto Artillery Lane past the playground. Drive around until you see the batting cage on the right. The park entrance is up the paved path right after the batting cage and just after the football field (There is a sign for the park near the fence).

Walk down the paved path, crossing over the bridge until you reach the other entrance. Here you will find the picnic table without a table. Standing on the back right corner of the cement that the table was on, take about ten steps straight out. In front of you are 3 Y-shaped trees standing together. Notice the middle tree that is half stripped of its bark? The letterbox is hidden behind the large pine tree in back of it. Please try to be discreet and cover it up well. Go Defenders!
