Take Exit 43 and follow route 197 to downtown Richmond and the waterfront. Park in the Fort Richmond parking lot.
From the parking lot follow the walking path along the waterfront. Follow path until you come to the second granite bench. It will be on your left. Have a seat facing the swing bridge and Swan Island.
Turn around and find the Veterans memorial. While standing in front of the memorial look to your right and find the steps leading up the gazebo.
Go behind the bushes to the right side of the gazebo steps. Behind the bush and under the steps you will find the box.
Be sure to hide the box well when you are done. You will need to bring ink.
Bring as lunch. Enjoy the waterfront. Take a walk to get ice cream!
