Hi Folks, Welcome to the White Mountains. A friend from work recommended Lafayette Camp Ground. This is a beautiful place. We stayed at camp site #62. It was very relaxing with the brook running in the back ground. The letterbox is hidden on the Lonesome Lake trail. You can start from the parking lot or the last camp site at Lafayette campground. On the side of camp site #95 there is a big sign pointing the way to Lonesome Lake. Head up the trail. You will pass two boulders one covered with moss. As you hike on you will see a huge tree growing on top of a Boulder. The boys thought this was really kewl. In back of the tree there is another boulder. To the right side under the boulder you will find our letter box. Please leave your adventures. We had a great week of adventures in the White Mountains. Monday we visited Storyland. Tuesday we visited Santa at Santa’s Village. Wednesday we rode bikes on the biking path, we hiked Lost River and The Basin. Thursday we did a little fishing, hiked lonesome trail about half way and rode bikes around camp. Every day the boys played in the brook. We roasted marshmallows every night. We had a great time in the White Mountains.
