This Letterbox is dedicated to Sammy, the Labradoodle from New Jersey. He's a floppy-ear, happy, loveable dog who's four favorite things are: his ball, bone, his doggie cookies, and swimming. You'll see places where he can do/play with all of these things!

Take the train to the subway stop at the foot of the Triborogh Bridge (recently renamed the RFK Bridge), and exit at the North West Stairs (closest to the small playground). Walk up 31st Street, making sure the handball wall is on the left, and Neptune diner is on the right. At the Elias Corner (You'll see the bright blue awning!), turn left, walking west.

Walk a few blocks and enjoy all of the neighborhood front yard gardens.

Eventually you'll come to an intersection with a building that looks like a large ship on the right, caddy corner to where you are. Continue straight through the intersection, one more block, to the natural area dedicated to multiple recreational uses. Entering here, you'll see the swiming hole to the right, and a parking lot on the left. There are 4 paths to choose from, take the second one to the left.

At the second light pole to the right, the path splits, so you should bear right. After the fifth light pole on the right, turn 90 degrees and see a row of benches. Sit on the second one, and enjoy the view. After you've rested, continue on this path, going south. After you go up a slight incline, you'll see a large oval to the left, and the river on the right. When the path forks, bear right. This will lead you to a corner. Cross the Street and visit with the doggies in their area.

After watching the dogs, turn 180 degrees, and notice two yellow diamond signs bolted together. Walk to them. From here, you'll notice a row of bushes in the next island. With your back to the river, and the bushes on your left, stand between the two thick white lines and look deep into the bushes to find what you seek!

Please be discrete, as this is a pretty busy area. Feel free to bring along your dog, they'll love the trip! Also, no ink pad is provided, so bring your own. And please replace deep enough so that it can't be seen from plain view. Have fun!!!
